Ideapark Commercial City, Lempaala, Finland

Ideapark is Finland's first 'commercial city' with over 170 shopping outlets and 1.2km of covered shopping streets. Firebreak 303 and Firebreak 305 intumescent coatings were chosen to provide cost-effective fire protection to the extensive steel structure. Several products from the extensive range of Firebreak Fire Seals have been selected to ensure appropriate fire compartmentation in this highly serviced complex is achieved.

Being waterborne, the use of Firebreak products allowed for the early follow on of other trades thereby speeding up the construction process. Their green credentials were also paramount considerations in their selection in a country famous for its promotion of environmental issues.
